Cal State Northridge MatadorsCSUN Matadors – A previous move was reverted. The athletic department rebranded to CSUN Matadors in 2015; since then, all official and reliable English-language sources have used the new moniker to refer to the team. It's been 5+ years and more than satisfied criteria in WP:ON. Seany91 (talk) 12:23, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose – A quick google search shows more for Cal State Northridge than CSUN. We go by the common name, not the official name that the school wants to be referred by. source 1, source 2, source 3, source 4 (NCAA), LA Times and the list can go on... local and national news uses Cal State Northridge including the NCAA. I haven’t seen many local sources that show CSUN. Corky 22:12, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose move. We've been over this before - "official" abbreviations aren't necessarily the common name. O.N.R. (talk) 01:35, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Corky. The nom failed to indicate what sources refer to the program using CSUN.-UCO2009bluejay (talk) 02:23, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
