This article is about a chemical compound used for various purposes not only for food. So I thought of adding the chemicals tag as well. The article is about Calcium alginate not alginate, as there seems to be numerous mentions of the latter but hardly any mention of calcium alginate. I have removed excessive parts concerning extraction of sodium alginate. A chemical structure of calcium alginate would be good here. Proquence (talk)
