Errors in reporting[edit]

Clarification by Jonathan Swale - The original article included a number of errors resulting from one media outlet misreporting another's report. 1. Calders Geo is the inlet (note - no apostrophe). The cave, which has one entrance from the geo and two from the open sea, does not have a name as far as I'm aware. 2. The measured height of the cave was over 20 metres (although not at the highest point which is probably nearer 25 metres). This was crudely converted on the BBC website to 60 feet which was re-reported in the papers as 18.3 metres. 3. The cave appears to be bigger than the current record holder for the largest natural underground chamber in the UK which is UNDER Cheddar Gorge. This was reported in the TV account as being larger than a cave IN Cheddar Gorge, but on the BBC website (until corrected) as being larger than Cheddar Gorge itself — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.112.180.143 (talk) 22:35, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't been able to remove the aostrophe from "Calder's Geo" in the title - perhaps someone else can.
