The statements on "competitiveness" is outdated ... it should also include results from 2006. Also, I think we should have more citations... as points made here appear more as personal analysis than encyclopedic presentations. To what extend or in what quality is "power of votes" diminished? That is very hard to access. SiriusAlphaCMa 01:28, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Progressive Test" vs. "Liberal Test"[edit]

Under the passage titled, "Political affiliations of Representatives", the two "Test" rows are currently labeled "Conservative Test" & "Progressive Test"

They should instead be labeled "Conservative Test" & "Liberal Test", because the word "Liberal" is the political opposite of the word "Conservative".

District maps[edit]

Hello, I am going to be attempting to add the current (since 2013) congressional district maps to this page. I will be removing the two rows ("conservative test" & "liberal[progressive] test") of the main table - they are currently devoid of information. I am doing this to streamline the page somewhat with the inclusion of the individual district maps, but will retain the vast, vast majority of the imformation currently presented. I will also attempt to add current CPVI scores, as they seem to be available now, as part of this overhaul. Feedback is welcome. --7partparadigm talk 20:40, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, this is going to be a mess for Wikipedians maintaining the district pages. California started a "redistricting cycle" in 2020 and the numbering of the districts changed. For example, district 5 in the northeast Bay Area will move to the central valley, and the old district 5 will be chopped up into the new districts 4 and 8. Ballotpedia has a pair of nice interactive maps that show the old and new district outlines. Click on a district in either map and the district outline for old and new layouts appears in each map. At top right of the map is the district number. So you can click a spot in the new map to see what the new number will be. This is probably a problem for the whole country.
