Fair use rationale for Image:RailAmerica logo.png[edit]

Image:RailAmerica logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:50, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit requests[edit]

  • Specific text to be added or removed: The railroad transports mainly food and agricultural commodities, as well as stone products. It moved around 26,000 carloads of goods in 2008
  • Reason for the change: Not only could I not find this source anywhere (the reference page doesn’t provide a link), but this data is also extremely outdated. In the sentence, it says the amount of goods moved in 2008. Unless there is a more recent source supporting this information, we request this to be removed due to it being outdated.
  • References supporting change: Not applicable, I want this to be removed, not replaced.

  • Specific text to be added or removed: Mare Island Naval Base, in Vallejo, is coming back alive to the newly established Mare Island Rail Service out of Olympia with scrap metal, rock, and boating material being shipped in and out of the Island. A facility on the northern part of the island operated by rail contractor Alstom is currently repairing Capitol Corridor cars used by the Amtrak California fleet around the Bay Area for passenger service.
  • Reason for the change: All this data does not have a relevant source to support it and is a lot of information that lacks credibility. Unless there is a more recent source supporting this information, we request this to be removed due to it being uncited.
  • References supporting change: Not applicable, I want this to be removed, not replaced.

  • Specific text to be added or removed: Many customers on that end of the line have moved to private trucking companies to transport their goods due to lower prices.
  • Reason for the change: This is currently unsourced and, as such, viewed solely as an opinion. If Wikipedia's intent is to present neutral/unbiased information, we request that this be removed.
  • References supporting change: Not applicable, I want this to be removed, not replaced.

  • Specific text to be added or removed: The Tracy Crew is a Monday-Friday operation but may work an occasional Saturday if a customer needs switching out. The crew base is located in Tracy, CA where CFNR interchanges with the Union Pacific Railroad. Does this make it sound like CFNR is primarily for agricultural resources?
  • Reason for the change: Although the interchange is accurate, the rest of this sentence does not have a relevant source to support it and is a lot of information that lacks credibility. Unless there is a more recent source supporting this information, we request this to be removed due to it being uncited.
  • References supporting change: Not applicable, I want this to be removed, not replaced.
