Differences between Assembly and Senate[edit]

Proposed move to California Legislature[edit]

the title "California Legislature" is both simpler, more common, and the actual legal title of the institution (California Constitution Article 4 Section 1). I propose we move the article to "California Legislature". Int21h (talk) 07:09, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed correction to last two sentences in first paragraph about legislative sessions[edit]

The last two sentences in the first paragraph of this Wikipedia article say: "After the organizational meeting, both houses are in recess until the first Monday in January, except when the first Monday is January 1 or January 1 is a Sunday, in which case they meet the following Wednesday. Aside from the recess, the legislature is in session year-round.[3]" The 3rd foot note reference, http://www.nextca.org/topics/entry/representation, says nothing about the length of legislative sessions or when they occur. Also, this Wikipedia article says the California state legislature is in session year round, when actually the sessions are normally from December or January to August or September. For most of September to November, the California state legislature is not in session, according to http://www.legislature.ca.gov/the_state_legislature/calendar_and_schedules/calendar_schedules.html

Evacuation routes?[edit]

I don't have a source for this in front of me this second, but didn't I see reputable reporting that the municipal government voted not to improve evacuation routes? Elinruby (talk) 04:54, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
