Etymology[edit]

What is the etymology of this place name? Badagnani (talk) 23:46, 31 August 2008 (UTC) This source states that Cam Ranh means "fresh-water habor". And [www.vinashin.com.vn/NewsVinashin/Cam-Ranh-quen-ma-la.html?p=29&id=1440 this] says Cam Ranh was adopted from "Kăm Mran", a Ede language word means "sea port".--115.79.52.35 (talk) 07:29, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oceanographic facts?[edit]

This article discusses military use thoroughly but gives very little information about the oceanography of the bay itself. SO its a "deep-water bay"? Well, how deep? What's its surface area? Why is none of this information given?
