Clean up, original research, and "how to" section problems[edit]

In the section "Responses and Actions", Notifications and responses to initial investigations --

According to the edit history, a gentleman (and former Marine?) named "Jim Watters" added information from his own personal experience on the issue of linking the water contamination and health problems. I believe several issues need to be addressed to keep the tone of the article consistent while also meeting Wikipedia's MOS:

1. No references or citations were listed to substantiate the entry. As written, this would appear to be Original Research.

2. The entry includes several "how to" elements that while potentially helpful to certain group of individuals, do not belong in an encyclopedia. These elements would be more appropriate in an external link.

3. The addition about the individual is written in a style that "clashes" with the tone of the original article. It also detracts from a neutral POV, and the article might benefit from some copy-editing to incorporate the additional information (with appropriate citations).

I don't want to unilaterally edit this piece without some additional input: I am not questioning the veracity of Mr. Watters' entry, but it needs to be consistent with Wiki's MOS and standards.

There may be issues with original research - I have not evaluated for that - but that's not the tag you placed. I see absolutely nothing in this article that looks like a "how to" element in accordance with WP:NOTHOWTO. While I appreciate your willingness to discuss this, you have not explained what "how to" elements exist in this article as I requested when I removed the tag. The tag you've placed twice now says, "This section contains instructions, advice, or how-to content. The purpose of Wikipedia is to present facts, not to train." I see no instructions, advice or how-to content in the section. Camp Lejuene[edit]

I was born there in 1974 . When I was born, my mother said the motality rate for babies was off the chart. I was taken at birth for about a week. No one could see me at all. They had to end up letting my mom take me home. But the MPs brought a nurse to see me daily. Im slated to go see a VSO in the city I live in. I have been following. How bad is it?[edit]

The article says almost nothing about how severe the problem is. I came here after reading the following paragraph:

However, in today's complex world it is not enough to focus on specific risks identified in the past. A tragic example comes from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, the nation's largest U.S. Marine Corps base. At Camp Lejuene the Corps trains marines to deal with risks of combat but neglected to respond to reports of contaminated groundwater that ultimately took the lives of hundreds of people, mostly babies, and impaired the health of many more marines and their families over several decades (Fears 2012; House Subcommittee on Oversight 2010).
