Biases[edit]

This article seems rather biased an promotional in nature, almost POV and non-notable at the same time. Invmog (talk) 04:20, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unverifiable claims in Initiatives section[edit]

I cannot verify claims from the following quote

In 2002, CPD issued a sign-on statement, "We Oppose Both Saddam Hussein and the U.S. War on Iraq: A Call for a New, Democratic U.S. Foreign Policy," [3] which was published in The New York Times,[4] The Nation, The Progressive and elsewhere.

I found the statement on CPD's website but was unable to find it republished in any of the three news sources mentioned. The citation for The New York Times seems to note that the statement appeared in the February 10, 2003 edition of the paper. However, I could not find it using the Times' index of articles. I could not find the statement in the Nation's archive, only on a website called "Third World Traveler" claiming the statement was published in The Nation on January 6, 2003. My suggestion would be to remove the claims of republication until they can be verified. The statement seems to have been notable regardless as it was signed by famous figures including Toni Morrison, Daniel Ellsberg, and Noam Chomsky. Flipped script (talk) 18:35, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
