Severe problems with the article[edit]

All edits to date are by what appears to be a Wikipedia:Single-purpose account. To me it appears to be a Conservtive Party puff piece, added just in time for the upcoming federal election. IMHO it needs either extensive rewriting or deletion.

None of the extensive criticism in the media — e.g. The Myth of Harper's Economic Competence, This Is What Harper's Action Plan Ads Really Mean. And It's Not Good (VIDEO) or ‘Economic Action Plan’ ads are wasteful Conservative propaganda: Editorial — are even mentioned, let alone given the discussion they deserve. Nor is the fact that the ads mostly failed; e.g. Economic Action Plan Ads Landing With A Thud For Many Canadians: Survey, Canadians growing tired of Harper's Economic Action Plan call government ads 'propaganda' in recent survey.

Nor are the attacks from Canada's other parties mentioned. Nor is there any discussion of the ways Harper is attempting to implement this plan: unthinking support for assorted pipelines (including Keystone Pipeline, putiing him in conflict with Obama), a highly suspect trade deal with China 7 Things Harper Doesn't Want You To Know About The China Trade Treaty (And A Few He Does), and the Trans-Pacific Partnership. All these have their own problems and criticisms and should, at a minimum, be mentioned & linked.

Perhaps most tellingly, the fact that the Harper government wastes taxpayer money on partisan "Action Plan" ads, often for non-existent programs — see Government spends millions on ads for 'Economic Action Plan' that ended two years ago — is not mentioned.

Of course I'm hardly unbiased; I'm a Canadian on the other end of the political spectrum. I'm therefore reluctant to try fixing this myself.

As an American with little knowledge of or opinion on Canadian politics perhaps I can offer my insight on this article. It definitely appears to be notable as characterized by the many sources provided in the article and by you above, but the article definitely leans promotional.
Phrases such as "expanding Canadian businesses and investment in other countries in a highly competitive global environment" are full of buzzwords and peacock terms. This is likely not intentional, but the result of heavily relying on primary sources. Additionally the pictures and captions are inappropriate as they imply that this plan has had positive effects without sources confirming the connection between these specific policies and the growth of Booster Juice and Tim Hortons. I'll try to trim it down a bit and change wording to reflect secondary sources. I would appreciate it if you could write up a criticism section on the article, I'll give it a look through when its complete. Though please try to stay away from listicles as sources . As I see it, Stephen Harper is a far-right loony (roughly Canada's answer to America's Tea Party movement) who managed to subvert the Conservative Party of Canada and has now been Prime Minister for almost a decade. I really hope he can be thrown out in the election coming in October.
One issue is that all these "Action Plans" are mostly Tory propaganda. One link above shows them advertising a program that had been over for two years. They claim Harper Government Cutting Red Tape for Veterans but then Harper Government Spends $700,000 Fighting Veterans Class-Action Lawsuit; both their announcement and the lawyers paid for by taxpayers.
