Listing teams in other leagues[edit]

Certain inductees list the CFL team they played/coached for, as well as teams in other leagues (e.g. NFL, ORFU, Canadian University). But it isn't done consistently. e.g. All of Warren Moon's NFL teams are listed. No NFL teams are listed for Joe Krol or Joe Kapp. Perhaps there should be some logic behind when we include an alternate league. For example, I don't think Warren Moon was inducted into the CFHOF because of his work with the Seattle Seahawks. In is entirely his work with Edmonton that he was considered.

I note that the CFL.ca website doesn't usually list the NFL experience with the HOF bios. It will occasionally say that they played in the NFL for a few seasons (especially if there is a gap), but not the teams they played for.

I recommend: If the person played/coached post-1952, NFL teams are not listed -- except in exceptional cases.

Listing other Halls of Fame[edit]

Currently Bud Grant and Warren Moon list the fact that they are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I think this is interesting, but is it relevant? Should we list that Lionel Connacher is in the Hockey Hall of Fame? What about the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame? Where do we draw the line?

OK, I'm responsible for did both links; Grant was the only such dual member (a CFL Builder, but obviously a player who went into coaching in Canada, then off to the USA--and how will Pinball Clemons be eventually remembered?) prior to Warren Moon's selection last weekend during the Super Bowl festivities. Hopefully, each selection has been featured in their wiki bios (such as Angelo Mosca--not for CFL play, but as the worst wrestling announcer ever!--no one noted his infamous TV commercial--"tell it--to my face"!!), and if someone has other honours in other halls, like Lionel Conacher in the Hockey Hall of Fame, or as members of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame, the Order of Canada, etc., sure, that is relevant. To draw the line....I'd suggest not listing their respective team "Halls" or "walls" of fame, as hopefully this will be already entered on the respective team's site. Fair use rationale for Image:CFHOFLogo.jpg[edit]

Image:CFHOFLogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Dalton Heppler 2005 – hoax?[edit]

Never heard of him, but suddenly he was switched from a Saskatoon Hilltops builder to the Toronto Argonauts. He's not listed at the official website or at http://soudogsports.net/HOF/cfhof_yearly.html Do we need to check further before deleting? Modal Jig (talk) 23:32, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
