Marathon, Cominco and MacBlo...and the E&N[edit]

The bit about Teck Cominco caught my eye; Cominco, the Columbia Mining Company, famous/infamous for the Trail smelter and others, was a CPR subsidiary that wound up being bought by Teck; so it's ironic to see Teck Cominco suing CP...Marathon Realty was CP's real estate arm; MacBlo (MacMillan Bloedel) was also a CP "arm" and the railway-belt lands through the Interior and along the E&N came with the territory....the E&N also. Not sure if those were subs of CPI or CPL or what; but there were CP, and as such a big part of the history of British Columbia; as is the CPR.Skookum1 (talk) 16:45, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Marathon is mentioned in lots of articles and while I don't have the time or inclination to do up an article on them, they need one.Skookum1 (talk) 16:47, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
