Snorting and plugging?[edit]

Two new sections I've stumbled upon that I'm not not really sure about, both of which are completely uncited. The section explaining plugging, a method used in Africa, sounds legitimate, but still needs to be cited. I do feel, however, that the section on snorting should be removed if no one can come up with citations to cover at least the sentences I've marked as needing citations. E-cigarette belongs in Cannabis consumption article[edit]

A disassembled cigarette-shaped electronic cigarette.
A. LED light cover
B. battery (also houses circuitry)
C. atomizer
D. cartridge.

The following was objected to by an editor because uncited:

The e-cigarette, developed in China, vaporizes flavored nicotine (in most brands) from an insertable cartridge; liquid THC may be loaded in the cartridge instead of nicotine, providing the benefits of vaporization to cannabis users.

A proprietary device for loading e-cigarette cartridges is shown at http://e-cig.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=602.

The Wikipedia allows a limited number of "red links" because these challenge editors to track down verifications not found by the first editor who furnished a piece of information. It is hoped placement of the e-cigarette issue on this talk page will achieve the same end, in that by replacing hazardous hot-burning-overdose smoking methods, addictive admixtures of tobacco etc. with safer ways of ingesting cannabis, unfair and invasive legal prohibitions against cannabis itself, infringing on individual rights, may lose justification and fall away, benefiting medical patients and many other citizens. Please cooperate by finding and citing uses of e-cigarette technology to furnish cannabinoids in the manner described above, and "help Wikimedia change the world" (2008 fund-raising slogan).Tokerdesigner (talk) 19:16, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Boiling Point[edit]

This article has a note that says that the boiling point of THC is somewhat higher than 392 Fahrenheit at atmospheric pressure. Since 450 F is the temperature at which paper undergoes combustion. I don't see how the temperature of vaporization could be that much higher than 392. This sentence also contradicts information on vaporizers earlier in that section.24.65.95.239 (talk) 03:41, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Δ9-THC metabolism to 11-hydroxy-THC[edit]

In the article it says "It has been shown that the primary active component of cannabis, Δ9-THC, is converted to the more psychoactive 11-hydroxy-THC by the liver." And when I cheked the given source, http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?pid=S1516-31802004000300007&script=sci_arttext&tlng=en, the only mention about the matter I found was "The initial metabolism takes place in the lungs and liver, with conversion to 11-hydroxy-tetrahydrocannabinol". So that makes me question wheter is it necessary to mention this in food cannabis section since the source doesn't imply that metabolism from Δ9-THC to 11-hydroxy-THC happens only in the liver. --Custoo (talk) 22:17, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
