Proposed merger into Capital expenditure[edit]

I disagree that these articles should be merged. IMHO costs are not realised until the time of the costing procedure, whereas, expenditure is realised with the invoice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.192.39.82 (talk) 12:39, 4 November 2010‎

No they should not be merged, capital cost refers to the cost for an item or a project, while capital expenditure refers to the total expenditure that a company makes over a period, usually reported quarterly or yearly. They're related because they're both capital spending, but they measure differently and are used differently. ~~Andrew Keenan Richardson~~ 19:37, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No they aren't more related than money and Dollar. They are quantified differently and are relevant in different situations. Some companies group them into different categories when reporting.Grmike (talk) 07:54, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
