Sounds a bit POV, but also not very informative. Is it always a case by case basis? I imagine with the US, it is pretty clear and standard, the requirements that need to be met.

Sorry, I don't understand this:

POV: what precisely is POV in the statement that the Dutch authorities will not approve requests for extradition if the suspect has the slightest chance of receiving the death penalty. It seems to me to be a statement of fact. How they apply that policy is another matter and may indeed merit some further discussion.
US: what do you mean by "with the US it is pretty clear and standard"? Are you saying that there is a standard agreement, or may be even a treaty, between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the United States of America that extradited suspects will not receive the death penalty?

Can you please clarify this a bit?

Lacking[edit]

This article is lacking a discussion of capital punishment before it was abolished as well as a discussion of capital punishment in Dutch colonies and territories. Rmhermen 22:16, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, today the news came in that the Netherlands Antilles will abolish the death penalty (in prime condition, never used).ThW5 (talk) 12:56, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
