This article is written in Philippine English, which has its own spelling conventions (color, realize, center, travelled) and some terms that are used in it (including jeepney and cyberlibel) may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.

Dialect of Hiligaynon?[edit]

Shouldn't this be a dialect of Hiligaynon or Illonggo? Anyway, they're mutually intelligible.--Jondel 12:20, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Capiznon and Hiligaynon are totally different[edit]

" language is a system, used for communication, comprising a finite set of arbitrary symbols and a set of rules (or grammar) by which the manipulation of these symbols is governed. These symbols can be combined productively to convey new information, distinguishing languages from other forms of communication. The word language (without an article) can also refer to the use of such systems as a phenomenon."

The Capiznon has its own accent, tone vocabulary and the arrangement of words are also different with Hiligaynon yet its unnoticeable.--Oxyzen (talk) 05:51, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
