Subtitle

Is worth mentioning on here and/or New World Order that the subtitle and first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier share the same name? -- Zoo (talk) 21:31, 24 July 2022 (UTC)

Yes, we should probably mention it if we find a source pointing that out. - adamstom97 (talk) 22:31, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
Agreed, and I have added a hat note here about it. Don't believe one is needed there though since it's disambiguated properly. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 01:34, 25 July 2022 (UTC)

Sabra

If we are going to include comments from a Palestinian author then we should probably include Israeli comments as well, because at the moment we are making it sound like everyone agrees that turning Israeli spies into heroes "is insensitive and disgraceful" which I don't think is something that Wikipedia should be saying. I also think it may be a bit early to be adding this in since we don't know how she will be portrayed in the film and how that will actually be received by different groups. - adamstom97 (talk) 22:33, 26 September 2022 (UTC)

I'm definitely open to balancing the material, or removing the quotes if that helps to do that. I think we should at least start with this, as it appears to be a casting "controversy" similarly to the affect of Swinton as the Ancient One. I think some material should be included, and then as we learn more we can see if that early reveal backlash is necessary to remain, or should be contained to Sabra's article. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:48, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
Considering that Marvel Studios gave an official response to the Sabra criticisms, I would say that they think that the inclusion of the character would indeed be controversial and sought to nip it in the bud quickly. That said, I would not be opposed to include Israeli reaction to Sabra. - Richiekim (talk) 14:02, 27 September 2022 (UTC)

confirmation

is thunderbolt ross confirmed to appear.223.233.37.163 (talk) 09:40, 25 October 2022 (UTC)

Harrison Ford as Ross is confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter to be in New World Order and Thunderbolts, as stated in the draft article. Trailblazer101 (talk) 13:47, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
Also, if there was ever any doubt, we got a direct confirmation about Harrison Ford as Ross from Marvel Studios producer Nate Moore in this Collider interview].— Starforce13 19:02, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
We detail comments from Moore with an earlier published source by Collider from the same interview in the article for Ross' character description, though it would be unnecessary to further state it as confirmation. Trailblazer101 (talk) 19:20, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

Filming start

Mackie said March 1st but I believe that might be when prep starts. Today Nate Moore said filming begins in three weeks which lines up with the March 20 date from AJC. Aldwiki1 (talk) 04:17, 26 February 2023 (UTC)

I'd agree with that as well. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:35, 26 February 2023 (UTC)

Washington D.C. filming

The D.C. mayor revealed that a Marvel feature film will film there in June, which is reported to be for NWO, per here. As it is traced from The Cosmic Circus, which is considered an unreliable source, we cannot include this yet, but it is worth keeping an eye out for. Trailblazer101 (talk) 20:15, 18 March 2023 (UTC)

Filming starts today (March 20th)

Should the page be moved to mainspace, since filming has technically started today. 92.53.31.60 (talk) 15:19, 20 March 2023 (UTC)

Do you have a source that confirms filming started? Today was the expected date, but we need confirmation to move the article to mainspace. -- Zoo (talk) 15:44, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
Correct. I know some insiders have talked about some on location and set work, though I have yet to see any updated reports we can use verifying filming started today. Given the exact start date was being thrown around a lot by some sites (even with differing days), it may be a little bit before a source comes out to verify anything. Trailblazer101 (talk) 20:06, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
If Just Jared is good enough, then they posted some set photos, including one of Anthony Mackie earlier today. If that qualifies, then it can be moved to mainspace. All I know is the site is blacklisted on Wikipedia -- Zoo (talk) 17:51, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
I’ve seen Just Jared as being less than reliable, and typically when sources cite it, WP:FRUIT applies. Trailblazer101 (talk) 17:55, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
Screen Rant just posted it as well https://screenrant.com/captain-america-4-set-photo-anthony-mackie/ 92.53.31.60 (talk) 18:20, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
It all leads back to Just Jared -- Zoo (talk) 18:21, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
Collider is sourcing ScreenRant (and many other outlets will likely soon follow) so we might as well just say screw it and boldly move since we know we’ll get other sources reporting in the next day or two. Similar thing was done with Born Again. MarioProtIV (talk/contribs) 00:40, 22 March 2023 (UTC) IN beat me to the punch. Scrapping. --MarioProtIV (talk/contribs) 00:46, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
Atlanta_filming on Instagram, an account widely known for sharing filming location details in Atlanta (and also is giving BA updates too) and has his own sources for obtaining this, has indicated filming has begun at King Roof Renovations. Despite the source being instagram, I think we can use this rather then Just Jared. --MarioProtIV (talk/contribs) 19:17, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
That is a more preferable source, as it includes a specific location. We'll need a third-party source still. Trailblazer101 (talk) 19:55, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
(edit conflict) You know what, even though the only sources we have are JJ and the IG post, it's pretty clear that filming has indeed begun. So while we do need a better source for the article body itself, that shouldn't stop this page from moving. InfiniteNexus (talk) 00:42, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
I can move it unless there are objections. -- Zoo (talk) 00:44, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
It can definitely be moved now. Trailblazer101 (talk) 01:10, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

Sabra should not be called “Superheroine”

I believe the title Superheroine is added to the character description for Sabra under the character list to enhance shock value in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian content. I argued that this is not a neutral term. In the comics, she is officially referred to as a mutant and the articles referring to her as a “Superheroine” are coming from Pro-Israel articles who want to compare her to Superman. If she is considered a “Superheroine” then so is Captain America, the Falcon, Isiah Bradley who should also be described as such. Again, we don’t know how she will end up in the movie so I prefer to use the neutral term “mutant” as officially told in the comics to describe her. Wassup2020 (talk) 19:24, 17 May 2023 (UTC)

Marvel made it clear in their response to this character's situation that there were changing the depiction for this film's appearance. Your addition of the term "mutant" is not supported by the sources present in the article, and should not be restored unless proven otherwise. Sabra was a mutant in the Mossad in the comics, but that is not confirmed to be the case in this film, per this source. I understand this is a sensitive topic to some, although that source refers to the character as a superhero, which we can use until further explanation on her role is given. Civil War

The lead should note that this is a standalone sequel to Civil War, in addition to being the 4th Captain America film. 136.22.20.75 (talk) 04:51, 3 June 2023 (UTC)

It is more a continuation of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier than it is a sequel to Civil War, which does not need to be noted as we already state it is the fourth Cap film. This would be unnecessary and overloading the lede for readers. Trailblazer101 (talk) 05:31, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
