edits of 30 December 2019 (Heritage listing section)[edit]

I have made various edits to Captain Tench Arcade#Heritage listing, primarily within the "Heritage listing" section. Note that this section includes "near verbatim" copy of text at the following pages:

To summarize the edits in this diff:

  • typical copyedits (spelling, hyphenation, commas, apostrophes)
  • add link for the MacLaren 2007 reference (catch the bibliography later)
  • wikification of terms maybe not so obvious outside of Australia
    • skillions
    • The Rocks
    • George Street
    • Federation Style
  • inline "George St" changed to "George Street" (seeing "George St" makes us Americans scratch our heads, hopefully this won't make it look weird to Aussies)

@Fabrickator:Thank you for your edits. Re being "near verbatim", did you notice the Attribution statement in the Reference which states that the article was based on the 2nd of the URLs you mention, which (like all of the NSW Heritage Database) is CC-BY licensed and hence can be copied into Wikipedia, providing it is attributed. So there is no copyright violation occurring. Kerry (talk) 05:37, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Kerry Raymond:I really wasn't thinking about the copyright issue, I mentioned this because there were apparently some slight copyedits between those two external sources which would be candidates for incorporating into the WP article. By the time I was done with my editing, I was not too concerned about those copyedits. But still, if somebody wanted to compare against the "official" texts, they should consider both of them.
