More formal organisation

Every time I have attended a car boot sale as a vendor the advertisers/organisers have given contact details in order to arrange the pitches so that people selling similar items are in the same vicinity. The organisers actively encourage people to pre-book a pitch and reserve the best positions for the "pre-bookers". The organisers also often give preference to prior vendors, especially if they know that the items being sold are a good drawcard.

Perhaps the Irish equivalent is less informal.

Could this more formal alternative, if prevalent elsewhere, also be included in the article. LittleOldMe 11:34, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Removals

I've removed approximately half of the article. A lot of info was opinion or original research and even more was simply unencyclopedic ('house hold goods' is sufficient, we don't need to paragraphs of examples). The history section contradicted the very first Google result and the image gallery contravened WP:IG. I think as the article is now there is a good basis for minor improvements but I don't think it needs to be any where near the monstrosity we had before. RaseaC (talk) 13:49, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Blacklist

Flea Market

Recommend we combine this with Flea Market. I don't care which name we have on the final result, but it seems silly to have two pages talking about the same thing, merely because we have different names on different sides of the ocean. 155.213.224.59 (talk) 14:19, 25 July 2014 (UTC)

Informal language?
