relatively new model system for biology[edit]
This plant is used as a quite new model system for comparisons of developmental mechanisms compared to Arabidopsis, see http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs10265-009-0263-3?LI=true - as far as I understand it was developed as a model organism by Miltos Tsiantis. --Plehn (talk) 15:12, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
