Why are the Carolinian and Piedmont in the same article? Seems that should be addressed with a sentence at least in the opening article summary.Tom (talk) 16:37, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Inertia, I think. There used to be a number of combined articles, like Cardinal and Hoosier State and Michigan Services, but those have been broken out now. Now that we have chunks of history for both trains a split makes sense. Mackensen(talk) 01:10, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Particularly with the Piedmont adding another trip, it doesn't make any sense to keep the two combined. C628 (talk) 01:24, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Let's keep this as a stub page; we need to preserve the history and Amtrak does use the phrase now and then. I'll split out the pages to Carolinian (train) and Piedmont (train), with the latter moving to Piedmont Service once it's official. Mackensen(talk) 01:50, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good to me. C628 (talk) 01:59, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
