Schools[edit]

The listing of schools (as of this writing on Jan 31, 2013) is a mixture of currently operating schools combined with schools which have been closed. If it's desirable for schools which are no longer in operation to be in the article this is fine. But to note their status in the article immediately alongside operational schools is a burden on readers looking for the current picture of Cary schools. The primary listing of schools in Cary should consist of the schools which are currently open and operating. Then, if desired, in another section titled "Schools which formerly operated in Cary", schools which have been closed should be listed. This makes it easier to see the current educational picture without reading names of schools which are NOT in the curent educational picture. History of Cary schools should be addressed separately from the current Cary educational picture.

Also, it's noted that one school has moved to the old prairie hill building. Because the other schools listed are not accompanied with their location, it's better to maintain consistency in the article by not selecting only one school for location identification. It would also be better encyclopedic form to present that location (if it's presentation is desired) in a manner which serves people who don't live in Cary as well as those who have local familiarity. The description seems to be one which is used by local residents. Which is fine for local readers of the article. But keeping in mind that Wikipedia is world wide, a person in Springfield Illinois who is researching Cary education should have some means (a link?) to find out what the old prairie hill building is.

It's not my intention to criticize those who compiled this information as it is. My desire is to see the section presented in an encyclopedic manner which looks good and efficiently provides information. Cosmo1976 (talk) 20:30, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The following section should be removed as the "notability" of the people outlined in this entry is highly debatable: "Notable Residents. Joseph Burley. Born January 11,1979. Joseph was a notable High School Hockey Center at Cary-Grove High School and went on to the University of Iowa where he studied and received a bachelors degree in Finance. Joseph and his Mother Cathy and fiance Nicole Holmes are currently prominent Realtors and Real Estate developers in Mchenry County. Joseph is also noted for his work with local youth charities. Burleypartners.com" On a side note: I stumbled upon Cary Illinois as I was curious to know how close it is to Chicago. It's actually not close at all. (A few hours ago, I met a self-important ISU student from Cary who said she was "from Chicago". Cary is actually closer to Rockford than it is to Chicago.
