Request For Redirects[edit]

While this article is not semi-protected itself, my request is related to two pages that are in essence semi-protected, because as an IP editor I'm unable to edit them. Redirects are cheap. Please create redirects from both Castar and CastAR to Technical Illusions#castAR. Thanks! --82.136.210.153 (talk) 10:32, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Done In future, you can use WP:AFC/R to request redirects be created. Thanks, NiciVampireHeart 11:17, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I will. --82.136.210.153 (talk) 11:20, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification of edit reversion[edit]

(sorry this is not completely timely -- I only just noticed this).

I am puzzled why my edit (revision 637087844) was reverted 20 December 2014. I made two personnel edits which could clearly have been verified by looking at the Technical Illusions web site (Ellsworth's title is not President and Ryan Smith no longer appears on the list of employees). In addition although there is an article, (referenced by Wikipedia), that claims that Technical Illusions is a member of the Immersive Technology Alliance, there is no mention of that organization on TI's web site nor is TI listed as a member on the alliance's web site.

I don't believe the reversion was done unfairly or in bad faith, I am merely commenting that I believe the reversion was in error.

Actually, Technical Illusions is mentioned a lot - on more than ten different pages - on the website of the Immersive Technology Alliance. For example, here ("The alliance features such names as Technical Illusions, [...]" and "Jeri Ellsworth, President and Co-Founder of Technical Illusions, commented, “In this rapidly expanding industry of augmented and virtual reality displays, and other immersive technologies, great communication and collaboration among technology leaders is valuable. We’re proud to participate in The ITA as a founding member, and contribute our thought leadership to the group. [...]"), here ("Other sample members include Technical Illusions (castAR), [...]"), and there's even video footage of Brian Bruning (VP of Business Development for Technical Illusions) explaining why they joined the Immersive Technology Alliance. There are reliable, third-party sources that say Technical Illusions is a founding member of the Immersive Technology Alliance. When you write that "there is no mention of that organization on TI's web site" then your - what is basically WP:OR - findings do not justify removing sourced material. Even if things have changed, the company still was a founding member. The same goes for Ellsworth's position/title. --82.136.210.153 (talk) 08:51, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
