Short plot summaries[edit]

I am curious to know why certain editors have the urge to post a brief and often unsatisfactory "Short plot summary" a couple of weeks before transmission.
Am I alone in preferring it to be done as a complete summary on the actual day? We have another example posted just 29 minutes ago –

gareth this is widely debated but it is problem that reach far beyond this article, we agreed a temporary solution not to do it on merlin series 5 especially since the show was coming to a end. but the problem resides much further into the project, it has been brought up before and generally it always no consensus what to do, but summaries after transmission should be copy edited as you have been doing the problem is around future summaries as it technically doesn't come under not a tv guide but at the same time does. i suggest bringing a new discussion about this type of issue at the project to get wider community discussion rather than a limited on on hereAndrewcrawford (talk - contrib) 17:59, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why aren't the summaries appearing from around episode 27 onwards when there is content being saved in the edit? I've compared this with the previous edits, and they look exactly the same Pch172 (talk) 00:09, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

We do not post a short summary before the episode is transmitted.
