Cat Creek reportedly received it's name after a cowboy allegedly lassoed a Mountain lion.[1] Darkness Shines (talk) 14:35, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Note on mountain lions[edit]

The area is identified in: Land Health Evaluation Report Jerry Creek Allotment Bureau of Land Management Butte Field Office. The note specifically says:"Numerous wildlife species and/or their habitats can be found in the allotment including but not limited to elk, mule deer, moose, bighorn sheep, red fox, black bear, coyote, bobcat, mountain lion, tailed frog, Columbia spotted frog, pine marten, long-tailed and short-tailed weasels, porcupine, badger, red squirrel, flying squirrel, mountain cottontail, snowshoe hare, white-tailed jackrabbit, ground squirrels and other small mammals." FWiW Bzuk (talk) 07:24, 11 October 2012 (UTC).[reply]

The same applies to virtually anywhere in the western US. Please don't feed the trolls: a look through the edit filter indicates that attempts are still being made to vandalize this page by IPs and sockpuppet accoutns. Acroterion (talk) 14:19, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Note: the first comment was directly related to an admin inquiry about finding a reliable source for a mention of the wildlife in the area. FWiW, this is no way validating any aspect of the ongoing campaign to introduce a hoax about African lions in the area. Bzuk (talk) 14:30, 15 October 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Understood, thanks for clarifying and finding for the cite. Acroterion (talk) 14:41, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Could you consider selectively deleting deleting the history of this article sometime? It was done back in 2013 per WP:DENY. There has been more disruption since then. funplussmart (talk) 01:07, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
