I reverted edits by User:Adv100 since they removed substantial referenced content and added the following unreferenced material:

President and CEO of C de C, inc. an accessory company based in New York and Los Angeles. She was a fashion journalist and former model, as well as executive and entrepreur. Castelbajac received an MBA from Simmons Graduate School of Management in 1995, and authored a 200 page critically acclaimed history of aesthetics, THE FACE OF THE CENTURY, 100 YEARS OF FASHION AND STYLE,published by Rizzoli in 1995. She then founded Beauty Basics, an Internet company for beauty products. She has written articles for Brillscontent.com, House and Garden, French Vogue, and was a founding editor of Mirabella Magazine working from Paris, where she lived for 20 years.

Harper's article[edit]

In an effort to flesh this out some more, I've discovered that she had a profile of some sort in Harper's Bazaar, February 1989. The article is "Multitalented Muse: Kate de Castelbajac" by Christopher Petkanas, in Vol. 122, Iss. 3326, pg. 108. That's the information I have on it from various databases, which unfortunately do not carry the article itself. A librarian or someone else with professional access to better databases might be able to come up with it, but so far that hasn't happened. If not, it may be left to the challenge of tracking down a hard copy. Any assistance along these lines is welcome. --Michael Snow 04:48, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace[edit]

I briefly overlooked the conflicting information on her birthplace. The Mehrens article serves as a source for saying Santa Barbara; I haven't seen any source saying Los Angeles, so Santa Barbara is what we have. Controversial biographical material[edit]

I imported and abbreviated some material concerning a well-documented, high-profile lawsuit from the Bill Koch article, including an LA Times source citation. Similar material has previously been deleted from the present article because of "blp issues" and lack of sourcing. But in fact the previously deleted material was equally inadequate in respect of sourcing as the rest of the article, and the effect of the previous edit was to sanitize the treatment of the subject of this biography.
