foreigners ... like Spanish-speaking people[edit]

This seems a rather strange way to phrase it. I presume the point is that Catholics include foreigners in the country. Are they in fact mostly Spanish-speaking? That itself would be worthy of a comment or reference. Why are there more Spanish-speaking foreigners than English-speaking ones?
