You Forgot Something...[edit]

Although I'm sure she would be embarrassed to have it publicized today, Cathy Lee Crosby was at one time engaged to be married to film action star Richard Roundtree ("Shaft"), in 1976AD. Whatever happened to cancel their wedding plans was never publicized. Oh, and if you are seeking a reference for veracity of this item, then look up "Jet Magazine", around 1976AD. --65.88.88.125 (talk) 14:43, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Veryverser[reply]

professional tennis player?[edit]

"Crosby was a professional tennis player who played at Wimbledon twice, quitting the sport professionally sometime between 1967 and 1970"
The first sentence is marked with source [2]. I don't know why, the "twice" is not there. Instead, source [3] has this "After traveling the world class tennis circuit and playing twice at Wimbledon, she quit tennis at 23"
So the source [2] is not needed and [3]'s "she quit tennis at 23" means she quit either in December 1967 or in 1968.
About Wimbledon, I found her two times on the main draw, both in 1964: Singles and Doubles. So only 1 year in the main draw, there might be qualifications she entered, but oldest in wiki are from 1968. 46.132.3.220 (talk) 23:54, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

On the other hand, is it okay to call her "professional" at all? Professional tournaments only started in 1969. 46.132.3.220 (talk) 23:58, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
