Thoughts on the article[edit]

The caucus sections for each political party need to be removed and replaced with a link here, so we don't have duplicate information in two places.

I've now done this.-gadfium 04:20, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Would this be better split out into a separate article for each party? While the information was in the various party articles, it overbalanced the rest of the article, but that's no longer an issue now that it is a separate article. However, every three years or less this information will change significantly. I'd suggest splitting it into a series of articles title XXX Party caucus in the 48th New Zealand Parliament or similar, with links from the party article and from 48th New Zealand Parliament. Alternatively, if we want to keep it as a single article, I would suggest a name change to 48th New Zealand Parliament caucuses and responsibilities. When the next general election is held, this article will remain as a record, and an article 49th New Zealand Parliament caucuses and responsibilities can be created.

How should the article handle reshuffles of responsibility? We could mark each affected line with (until <date>) and (since <date>), as I've done with Don Brash's entry. For a major reshuffle where most MPs in a given party change their roles, as may happen with the change of National Party leadership, it might be easier to have two sections within the party subheading; one before the shuffle and one after it.-gadfium 03:50, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well I favour one per Parliament; so rename this after the 2008 election (and NOT seperate pages for each party!) Hugo999 (talk) 03:46, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This would be a really nice article and an awesome resource! If it could be kept updated.... Mathmo Talk 06:17, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
