Claim from the Cyclopedia of NZ[edit]

I have removed a claim "...family had been freehold farmers for many generations". As a descendant of the subjects father I don't know whether this is true or not, but the Cyclopaedia entry which was certainly written and paid for by the subject is not the place for such confirmation.
