The Central Argentine Railway was the second largest British-owned railway company in Argentina until it was nationalised in 1948. As such it played a key role in the econmic development of Argentina which deserves to be recorded in a Wikipedia article. Given the time, I intend to develop the article further and to add additional references. Please do not delete. David(Talk • Contribs) 10:09, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edits and Additions April 2022[edit]

When I edited the Wikipedia article, I first attempted to cite any information in the article that was not previously cited. If a citation was present, but the page number for the source cited was not present, then I attempted to add a page number to the citation. There was a book cited in the article, but the page number(s) of the book was (were) not cited, and I could not obtain access to the book. I put “[citation needed]” or “[page needed]” in order to indicate that research needs to be done to find a source or page number(s) for some of the information in the article.

I added a new section to the article. The new section that I added to the article contains new information relating to a strike against the Central Argentine Railway that took place during World War I (the information came from the Lauri Badaloni source written in Spanish, “Black Lists and Labor Protest: The Central Argentine Railway and its Workers during World War I”). The new section also contains new information from a Paul B. Goodwin article, “The Politics of Rate-Making: The British-Owned Railways and the Union Civica Radical, 1921-1928.” The purpose of the new section is to give a summary of the Central Argentine Railway’s relationship to its employees and government members at particular times, emphasizing the deteriorating relationship between the railway employers and its employees during World War I (in the 1910s) and between the railway’s leaders and government members in the 1920s.

I added new sources to the article. The sources that I added to the article are scholarly, secondary sources, with all of them being journal articles except for one (a book).Michigan Historian 11 (talk) 18:39, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
