Comments[edit]

"The gradual decline of Century III Mall can be contributed to the development of the Waterfront in nearby Homestead, which opened in 1999 "

This line seems to be a bit misleading. While The Waterfront did indeed hurt CIII, it's decline started in the mid-90's when poor overall maintenance started driving people away. In an effort to fit in better with the new outdoor malls, CIII installed sky lights instead of fixing structural issues or updating the overall look and feel of the interior.

Another cause of decline was the moving of bus stops closer to the main entrances of the mall, which helped encourage front-of-mall loitering, and put an unpleasant experience in the minds of shoppers before they even entered the mall.

Another nail in the coffin were the oppressive tenant policies that made all boutique stores subservient to the major chain stores. One particularly distasteful policy allowed for mall security to enter your space and remove any items that were also being sold in an anchor store.

While I know this new information isn't sourced - neither is the original statement that caused me to write all of this.

current occupancy[edit]

There are several references to the current occupancy rate / number of stores, which is very likely to change over time (and probably already has), but there is no date attached to these facts or sources cited. There are also references to Century III's peak or prime, but the timeframe of that is also unspecified. —X1011 09:06, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting content[edit]

I am here to ask, why is so much content being deleted at once? Yes you know who you are and it’s sad that you have to remove valuable content and others could be using, seems to me like you can’t stand not being right, so if you want to keep deleting it, fine by me, I’ll just copy and paste it back. So try me again Dlindsey19 (talk) 00:01, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Consistency with dates, and no sources.[edit]

There aren't many sources referenced to the closure of the mall, and it's riddled with dates as sentence starters. How can this be fixed? Vibrioidxire (talk) 17:02, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
