CAGS is a Degree[edit]

I have a CAGS, and mine is an actual degree that required a comprehensive exam. It is not merely a "certificate designed for non-traditional students." That phrasing undercuts the "advanced graduate degree" impression that those four letters should make. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.7.198.6 (talk) 15:33, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Degree wording[edit]

https://www.stthomas.edu/gradsoftware/programs/gradcerts/cas/ According to the University of St. Thomas, which offers a CAS in software, "This certificate is available to software professionals who have already obtained a master's degree. The program offers an opportunity for professionals to enhance their expertise through an individually designed course of study." Perhaps this should be worded into the description which undercuts the idea that CAS's are only available to "liberal arts" students. 66.91.39.143 (talk) 16:02, 2 May 2021 (UTC)Jerry[reply]

Specialist degree paragraph[edit]

I added the correct wikicode for a URL to the reference to the Specialist paragraph, and slightly modified the paragraph to more correctly reflect my understanding of the timeline involved in getting an NASP-type certification (from "seven-year program" to "three-year post-bachelor's program"), since the NASP training is what was cited. However, I'm still not certain that the information cited in the relevant paragraph is an accurate representation of the information actually provided on the page the ref links to. I didn't change the linked URL, just added the additional wikicode metadata. Does anyone with a better understanding of how school psychologist or other similar types of training works have an opinion on the accuracy of the paragraph? -- Metheglyn (talk) 04:34, 20 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
