This used to be an article that talked about professional certification and product certification, in addition had MANY unrelated incoming links for meanings such as RIAA certification, film certification, digital signatures. Distinguishing between certification and certification marks[edit]

Certification may include recognition of meeting standards for the purpose of government selection or recognition, or marks for consumer-targeted uses.
