Merger[edit]

War Government 1939-1940 was merged into this page, because it was redundant. This makes the pages consistent with others. See Talk:List of British governments. RGloucester (talk) 22:36, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Member parties[edit]

Given the fact that the ministry included Sir John Anderson who was not a member of the three official parties in the government, but was a 'National Independent' (ie an independent supporter of the National Government) should 'National Independent' also be included in the info box under Member parties? "National Independents" weren't a party. They were individuals who gave support & took membership in the government. Chamberlain in particular recruited a lot of ministers from outside the conventional party system (some of whom, such as Lords Macmillan and Woolton, are misleadingly listed as Conservatives here). "National Independents" would imply something similar to the Independent groups on councils that sometimes wind up in coalition. Timrollpickering 21:25, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
