Plot section cut[edit]

In this edit I cut the entire plot section. It was flagged as being too long, but users kept adding to it, so the section bloated from 1640 words to 2350. Should not exceed 500 words per WP:TVPLOT. The section needs to be rebuilt from scratch by someone who cares about the series and who understands Wikipedia community guidelines. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:44, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Awards[edit]

I have strong objections against mentioning an award bestowed upon the serial by their own broadcasting/production house. These awards are typically given to self-promote own-content and are of no encyclopaedic value.Gain consensus before re-insertion.Winged Blades Godric 08:19, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is not called self-promotion since the awards were actually given to these actors and there is proof. http://www.india.com/showbiz/star-parivaar-awards-2017-winners-list-karan-patel-divyanka-tripathi-dahiya-nakuul-mehta-wins-the-most-prestigious-award-2178739/ TheNewSMG (talk) 09:30, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, so we have a source - that's good I think the issue is now if the award is notable enough to be mentioned? Winged Blades of Godric? -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 09:40, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that is the issue and I believe that of course the awards are notable enough to be mentioned because it is given to the 2 main actors of the TV serial, Rajat Tokas and Shweta Basu Prasad. It is given to them by Star Parivaar Awards which is famous for giving awards to actors. TheNewSMG (talk) 09:46, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well, PR stunts ≠ Veracity.Winged Blades Godric 07:48, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well that makes sense - Winged Blades of Godric, what do you think? Above you state these are given by the production house as a PR stunt - I do agree that if this is the case it should be, at the very least, played down in the article. Do you think we could get by with a passing mention? A small sentence in an awards section, with perhaps a wikilink to Star Parivaar Awards? -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 09:55, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, There'sNoTime--thanks for taking our time out to resolve the issue.I could go along the lines of--Rajat Tokas and Shweta Basu Prasad won the Favourite Pati and Favourite Patni awards respectively at Star Parivaar Awards, 2017--an awards ceremony hosted by Star Plus to promote own serials.[1] I would not surely mind some copy-edits.Winged Blades Godric 07:50, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Re-pinging @There'sNoTime:--since the prev. ping probably failed.Winged Blades Godric 07:50, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Winged Blades of Godric: Looks good to me! It strikes a good balance between promotion and fact - what do you think TheNewSMG? -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 08:42, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, thank you for helping us resolve the issue There'sNoTime! And thanks Winged Blades of Godric for accepting the small section. So how do I add the Awards section back to Chandra Nandini by citing the source? Thanks. TheNewSMG (talk) 10:31, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@TheNewSMG and Winged Blades of Godric: I've added the awards section back in - thank you both for working together to resolve this dispute -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 10:36, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There'sNoTime, I accidently added the reference to the article twice. Could you please fix it? Thanks. TheNewSMG (talk) 10:57, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nv, figured it out myself. TheNewSMG (talk) 11:00, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
