I did some fixins'. Any thoughts? Yanksox 05:38, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What makes either of the 'notable personalities' notable? --InShaneee 17:34, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
When I look this over I think Gemberling should be the only one up there since he is the only one whom has really done anything mainstream and is on the verge of big time mainstream.[1] Feel free to remove, if you feel the need. Yanksox 17:36, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You know, I'm almost wondering if this should be merged into Channel 101 until it gains notability on its own right. --InShaneee 18:17, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shane check your talk out, I'll give other links. It's its own sepearate screening, and it's got enough strength. Yanksox 18:36, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

However, it doesn't have the noteability (star power, ect) that the other one does yet. Plus, the first couple sections of this page are duplicating content of the Channel 101 page. --InShaneee 18:41, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, again...I just had a majoy duh moment. I think a merge would actually be pretty solid. Now, I'm just curious what the gears in your head are doing, would the merge create a super Channel 101/102 page or just CHANNEL 101...and 102. I'm just curious. Thanks for everything awesome you do! Well, here's my initial thought: The page is Channel 101. At the bottom, we list that a spinoff was created, Channel 102, and put what little notable info there is here, there. Then, we can add notable info to that section as it happens, and when it becomes too large, move it back here. Whaddya think? --InShaneee 21:13, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not exactly a spinoff, it's more of an extension (if that makes ANY sense). I like that idea, of course other opinions should be gathered (if any body even cares :P). Yanksox 21:16, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds perfect. I'm still not even sure if this is a good solution (just kind of thinking outloud), so more input would be nice. Perhaps mention the idea on the Channel 101 talk page? --InShaneee 23:44, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The 'Notable Personalities' list is wrong, it places people like Curtis, Gemberling, Aziz Ansari etc who have broken out of 102 to do other things, alongside popular, recurring and long-running creators like Mitch Magee, Will Hines, Dyna Moe etc, and then throws in people who have had one show, sometimes with only one or two episodes, such as Tim Gillespie from God's Weatherman and Dan McIrney from UKM. I suspect vanity placement for the latter two, just because getting a show at 102 is an achievement, getting cancelled or 5th place is not worthy of Wiki-entry. I'd suggest for a revised list, breaking it down into 'Breakout Personalities' like Gemberling, Ansari, Christy & Bragg et al and 'Notable' within the boundaries of 102, including the likes of Hines, Carnavale, Moe, Magee etc. 'Notable Involvement'. Whilst there shouldn't be any set limit as to what makes someone 'Notable', the lower limit for admission onto the page shouldn't be starring in two episodes. (Note - someone like Nick Gibbons, from Rob Boss and FNGR is omitted as well as Michael 'Mohels' , 'The Man Who Loved Lesbians' Jaffe). This needs tightening, but I'm leaving it open to someone else to do it.

Channel 102 is now know as Channel 101:NY
