Ok what?[edit]

This is at the end of the Crono section? "Chrono is a well-rounded character in areas. He's weak against Shadow damage because his lightening element." What the eff does 'areas' mean and the last sentence really just speaks for itself. I'm removing both of them, because as I recall, there are no specific elemental resistances even in the game and most characters take about the same damage to all elements wearing comparable equipment. Merge[edit]

I think it's perfectly okay if this article stays as it is. It contains enough information to merit an article of its own. If this is merged with the other article, it will look kinda awkward. - 203.112.204.213 17:40, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Magi[edit]

If I'm not mistaken, the Gurus are named after the Magi in the Bible. Would someone investigate and or put something about that in here?SuperGerbil 01:56, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do believe you're right, but I'm not about to add it as I'm not 100% positive on that, but you may want to add it if you can cite it. ÷ ¿Daisen¡i? ÷ 15:32, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where are the two other pics of the Gurus (Belthasar and Gaspar)? Can someone post them back in? Thanks. Eaglestorm 14:00, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Robo's serial number (gosh, how trivial debate...)[edit]

Yes, Robo's serial number has two spellings. One of the spelling is apparently a typo by Square. The script I linked to is a text dump from the ROM, so it's 100% faithful to what you read in the game, as opposed to the other link which was a script typed manually. In any case, I simply used the number used by Robo the first time you see him. Kariteh 22:03, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay! Thanks for clearing that up! Sorry, I didn't mean to make that a big debate, I just noticed something was off about it when I played (it changes obviously.) I was just double checking! -72.81.108.49 18:25, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nu[edit]

The Nu page was removed, and it redirects to Nuumamonja. If anyone could recover that page, shouldn't it be appended to here? Nus are contendibly a major element in CT... ÷ ¿Daisen¡i? ÷ 15:32, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Kariteh 13:25, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ozzie, Flea, and Slash[edit]

does it happen to be a coincidence that the names of these characters are from the names of the people in famous bands? Ozzie Osbourne (Black Sabbath), The Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and Slash (Guns N' Roses/Velvet Revolver)

No. Remember in Japanese, their names also correspond in that they're all condiments.—Loveはドコ? (talkcontribs) 17:32, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Though I suspect the English translation deliberately named them Ozzie, Flea and Slash to make it more relevant to Western audiences. CronoDroid 05:09, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ted Woolsey intentionally changed the names to Ozzie, Slash and Flea to appeal to Western audiences.Peaceoutside 01:15, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actual meaning[edit]

Interestingly, in the original Japanese version, she makes a bisexual comment upon meeting the party

I'm surprised that doesn't have a citation needed thing(doesn't it require one?), but if anyone knows what this text says, either by knowing japanese or knowing a site that lists it, they should post or link it. I think most people would want to know what was said. - Blues

Oh I misread it a bit. It says it was changed into respect, and I thought it had said to "respect the english release". Perhaps it'd be better to put the full sentence, because I doubt anyone can remember such specific dialogue. - Blues

I've searched around and found a site that lists the exchange http://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Translation_Differences.html at Chapter 12: The Rare Red Rock Ayla Joke -Blues

Fair use rationale for Image:Flea (Chrono Trigger).jpg[edit]

Image:Flea (Chrono Trigger).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Restructure[edit]

Alright, first thing, get those deleted images back into the article. If you leave a message on my talk page after you upload them, then I will be happy to review the fair use rationale.
Next, take where the creators got their ideas for the characters and move them into the new Concept and influences section. Then take all reappearances of the characters in later media (such as Chrono Cross) and move them into the new legacy section.
After that, all the refrences in this article need a complete overhaul. If you need help, then please feel free to leave a message on my talk page.
Beyond that, it shouldn't be too hard to write the reception and merchandise sections. Once that's done, a short, the impact section will need a breif overview of the characters' impact in general. I believe one that's all done, you'll have plenty of out-of-universe information for this article. I'm not putting this article on my watch list, so if you have any suggestions, questions, comments, concerns, or complaints, then please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Taric25 (talk) 05:23, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

May Japanese names (as seen in the recent CT(DS) trailer(s)) be put into the article similar to (at least) FF character entries? Also, "Playstation" seems frequent, though I can prolly correct that myself easily enough. T.J. Fuller, Jr. (talk) 05:44, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image of Crono[edit]

Voice Actor?[edit]

Under Robo's section it lists both english and japanese voice actors. Since when have there ever been any voice overs in any version of this game? The Great Morgil (talk) 08:15, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So... uh... How old are they?[edit]

This feels like a dumb question, but does anyone have any idea how old the main characters are? Neo Guyver (talk) 00:50, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Janus: Relation to roman myth[edit]

For the English translation Janus replaces ジャキ and I cannot immediately find a citation that states/reasons the choice of name. I imagine the translated version was chosen to parallel young Magus with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janus. A casual reader would not necessarily draw this conclusion so I hesitate to link the article within the name-clarifying parens. If another editor feels strongly about the relation then please edit the subsection as they see fit. 76.14.142.247 (talk) 03:03, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
