This article is written in American English, which has its own spelling conventions (color, defense, traveled) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
The article (mostly) uses the term "The Charité", although both terms are in use, and the form without the definite article sounds less clumsy in English. Here is an interview with Christian Drosten, professor at Charité, who works on the evolution and emergence of RNA viruses, including coronaviruses. He is sometimes called "the German Tony Fauci," although Drosten isn't the same kind of political advisor. He developed the COVID-19 test used by WHO. This interview may (or may not) be a WP:RS, but in any case there are citations in on the podcast page to WP:MEDRS
