I've moved the article about the botanist with this name to 'Charles Gardner (botanist)', and redirected 'Charles Gardner' to this disambiguation page. The move was rather obvious, since there are as many as ten notable people - if not more - who share this name, including sportsmen, politicians, famous medal of honor soldiers, business people and other academics (see this example too). Following a day of wait time I have now finished redirecting all the previous links to the appropriate page, and it shall soon be requested at 'Wikipedia:Requested moves' that this page gets renamed to just 'Charles Gardner' (would be easier if an admin could just do it right away).
