I think the shortened title of Charles Hickman (director) is ridiculously vague. It implies he could be a director of anything - a oil company, an accountancy business etc. Hickman's career was in theatre, both as an actor and as a director. Ellenrich (talk) 19:08, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's a possibility but I was basing it on the majority of people listed at Category:British theatre directors. Most are listed as (director), some as (theatre director), and others with different disambiguation types. Overall there are very few that are going to have two titles in the name. The idea is to go with concise. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 16:41, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support per nom. "Director" is standard and we don't usually use double disambiguators. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:33, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
