Rewording 'The Great Pacific Garbage Patch'[edit]

Hi all,

I was looking into the sources of this page for another project of mine, and it came to my attention that the middle paragraph of this section ("As I gazed... appears to have stuck.") was taken directly from the New York Times article currently listed as a citation (this article). I believe this information is really relevant, but I don't know how best to reword it, and quite frankly, I don't have the time to dedicate to it right now. If anyone wants to take a stab at it, I'd greatly appreciate it.
