More work needed[edit]

I've made a major copyedit of this article and that of his father John Floyd. However, I'm not in Georgia, have limited time, and could not consult the sources. The source labelled Rinaldo is probably his diary, which I have not viewed. The previous references to it seem weak, since none included page numbers. The online source I used, "the crypt" seems written by a family member and somewhat suspect, for an online search indicates the William Cone family (like the John Floyd) were also soldiers in the Florida/Georgia region in the American Revolutionary and Indian wars, then confederates in the American civil war. The published book from 1910, Men of Mark in Georgia: A Complete and Elaborate History of the ..., Volume 2 p. 200 indicates Peter Cone was only a lieutenant in the indian wars, though Captain William Cone received acclaim.Jweaver28 (talk) 17:26, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
