Specific concerns

• Heh. Lead again. It's a third the size of the main body again. Trim, trim, trim! Suggest cutting the cousin bit, cut down on details of his pre-governor political career, bid to make TU a public college (Another point on this is that TU actually became a state school for a bit, then later had its funding revoked. You've got it a bit too simplified here in the lead)

• Trimmed lead.

• "Morehead was a delegate to the Peace Conference of 1861 and a convention of border states that attempted to stave off the Civil War." do you mean "Conference of 1861, a convention..."? I see in the body that it was a separate convention. You name one, you need to name the other too in the lead

• So far as I can tell, there is no commonly accepted name for this convention, and it has no wiki article to link to.

You name it the "Border State Convention" in the body of the text... and if there is no article on it, write it! At least redlink it, there is no problem with redlinks in the article at GA. Ealdgyth - Talk 18:53, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

I do hope I will one day be able to collect enough info to write this article. Many of the people I've written biographies for were delegates to the convention, but I can't find much about what actually went on there. (Given, I haven't looked extensively yet.) I have added the redlink as suggested.

• POlitical career .. "Neither were the Democrats able to muster a majority for their candidate, Howell Cobb." Awkward.

• Revised.

• need a cite for the "would ruin the Whig party in the North" quote.

• Oops. Forgot paragraph-level cites don't work for quotes.

• "Prior to the dissolution of the party, most had expected the Whigs would nominate Morehead at their own party's convention in April." This is a bit of a surprise, as it's never said prior to this that the Whig party actually dissovled.

• Earlier in the paragraph, the article says "By early 1855, sectional divisions had ripped apart the national Whig Party." I've made a clarification in the next sentence that might help.

• Your notes for "Congressional Bio" and "NGA Bio" need to better reflect the actual way the references are listed in the references section. Suggest using the links and title them "Charles S Morehead" and "Kentucky Governor Charles Slaughter Morehead".

• Done.
