Need to clarify Postl/Sealsfield names[edit]

This author was born Carl Anton Postl but assumed the name Charles Sealsfield in the United States. The article does not explain when he began using the Sealsfield name, and how he used it. Was it only a nom de plume or did he assume a new identity? The sentence about his revealing his identity as Postl on his deathbed suggests that he had fully become "Charles Sealsfield" even while living in Europe. But we are forced to guess. — ob C. alias ALAROB 19:30, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Improving[edit]

The article in the german speaking Wikipedia is richer and contains much more. Could be a source for improvement.--Blauer Heinrich (talk) 09:20, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
