Town[edit]

Hi, @Naraht: I changed "Chevy Chase" to "Town of Chevy Chase" in the infobox--and then reverted because I realized belatedly that the infobox presents the address like a postal address. No one uses "Town of Chevy Chase" in the postal address, as far as I can tell, and I think the infobox should probably should reflect postal style. (And I changed the category "Chevy Chase (CDP)" to "Chevy Chase (town)" because the school building is, in fact, in the town and not in the CDP.) What do you think? As a preface, I live about 5 miles from there, and keeping track of where in Chevy Chase you are (and the tax district based on that) gets messy. I knew that some of the Universities in New York had similar issues in that the university was in the village which was in some cases non-conterminous with the town. The first one that I found was Alfred University, where what is visible to the user is "postal style" with the city in it linking to the village. If you feel that the situation for CCJC is the same as Alfred University, I'm fine with using that as a model, which I *think* is the way that you had it. If you agree, I'm OK with reverting my revert and putting it back the way it was. (A long winded way of saying I probably shouldn't have reverted in the first place).Naraht (talk) 20:23, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, too many Chevy Chases! But I think
| address = 7100 Connecticut Avenue
| city = [[Chevy Chase (town), Maryland|Chevy Chase, Maryland]]
...is the way to go. Thanks! PRRfan (talk) 21:26, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
