From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A child beauty pageant is a beauty contest featuring contestants including six months old and older but you have to stop pageants at 18 for children pageants.[citation needed]

Why is a citation needed for this? This is an obvious sentence considering the legal definition of 'child' in the USA(worldview issues aside). We wouldn't say "Bullshit is the feces excreted by male cattle." and then stick a citation needed tag on that.

Also 'including and younger than' is ugly wording so I've changed that to 'up to'. ~Alison C. (aka Crazytales) 04:40, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Law : interdiction in France[edit]

Some countries in Europe, mainly France and Belgium, are on their way to ban this kind of contest. It might be useful to complete the "Law" section in the near future Kromsson (talk) 16:47, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. This is what I came to this article to try to find out. They many be banned in Scandanavia and Russia and there have been calls to ban them in New Zealand. CoronaryKea (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:52, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV[edit]

It's possible to present both facts and public opinion on a topic without losing objectivity. Statements such as "Makeup and surgery should not be a concernment [sic] for children and toddlers" and "[...] and the sad thing is that parents are the ones who encourage this behavior", while most of us would agree, are opinions being presented as fact. I will revise some of the offending language, but try to keep edits within the scope of WP:Neutral point of view. 47.220.146.206 (talk) 01:11, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
