Distorted source[edit]

The following sentence doesn't match its source and needs to be changed:

The European Union(EU) and the United States(US) are the primary supporters of the TFG, with the US having paid wages to the TFG armed forces, which is a violation of the US Child Soldiers Protection Act.

The source (Rosen 2012, p. 50) doesn't say this. It does say that the US has supported the TFG (including the payment of wages), and that the use of child soldiers by the TFG would be against American law, and it does imply that this may be politically or morally reprehensible (saying that it puts the US in an "uncomfortable position"). But it doesn't say that the Americans themselves are violating American law through their help, only that the actions of the Somali leadership do so. This is a rather serious distortion of the cited source. Fut.Perf. 19:54, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
