Untitled[edit]

I'd like to know how exactly we define 'design' and 'construction' in engineering projects on Wikpedia? The article claims the train is 'indigenously-designed', but it's quite clearly a copy of existing Pendolino designs and likewise with CRH-series trains, which are often claimed in the Chinese media to be domestically-produced, they are really just glorified flat-pack Ikea kits assembled in China from parts produced in Japan, Germany or France. 206.75.188.22 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 20:30, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re[edit]

  • I am a native guy from main land of China and I know more about this.
  • The DJJx serial of train sets are experimental high speed train sets of China. "DJJ" pronounces "Dong-che-zu Jiao-liu-chuan-dong dong-li-Ji-zhong" in Chinese language. The meaning of "DJJ" is kin to "push+pull" or "push/pull" trains, but the locomotives which have bullet heads are appropriative to their train sets.
  • Chinese engineers designed DJJx serial during 199x to 2002, but most of the key components are out of ability of Chinese factories. They had to buy those components from foreign factories to construct their train sets.
  • The DJJx serial have no relationship to "Pendolino". They had a lot of ICE1/2 styles and cultures and look like ICE1/2 copies(DJJ2 has different head shape from ICE1/2).
  • Chinese engineers did copied alot of things from ICE1/2. The locomotive boggies of DJJx serial are totally copied the boggies from ICE1/2 locomatives, but with rough craftmanship due to the limit of the low manufacture level of China. The style of passenger coaches is also copied from ICE1/2.
  • For more, Bearings are bought from Germany(DJJ1) and France(DJJ2); VVVF transformers and converters with IGBT tech(DJJ1) are bought from France.
  • But Chinese engineer did done some localize job. The elec-motors, control system and VVVF converters of DJJ2 are made by Chinese factories. But the VVVF converters of DJJ2 degraded to GTO tech, because that China didn't hold the IGBT tech during those years.
  • Due to the time and language limitation(English is not my native language), I can only say so.

Set Detail[edit]

I think this graphic should be deleted. It throws off the page styling and it's mostly in Chinese to boot! This is an English article, thank you! 76.120.66.57 (talk) 00:30, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
