Hi there, my name is CaliforniaDreamsFan, and I'll be reviewing this article! You will receive the review within a couple of days .

  • Comment; Hi @EditorE:, I was wanting to know before I release my review to you. I was a bit sceptical about the lack of information/detail of the artist on Wikipedia (only because there is not link or available Wikipedia page about the artist), there isn't A LOT of critical reception about the EP, neither the singles/EP have charted or gain a strong amount of recognition through publications/media, and there hasn't been any promotion/performances by the artist that promotes the EP and its material. For that, I'm questioning the sufficiency and strength the article holds for being a Good article or whether it needs to be redirected to the artist's article (that is when there is one). For example, you mention "Chinese Nü Yr has a more footwork-influenced style that Iglooghost's past releases"; because there is no article bio, no one knows of his previous work. Could you please explain how this article is sufficient for a GA, because based on these points, I personally think it should be redirected or left as it is. But I'll give you time to explain before I upload my review. CaliforniaDreamsFan (talk · contribs} 00:54, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    • @CaliforniaDreamsFan: Full reviews of the album from independent sources such as Resident Advisor, Exclaim! and The Quietus do strongly enough to suggest the album meets notability guidelines, just because an album hasn't charted or "gain a strong amount of recognition" in your eyes (I don't mean to insult you) doesn't automatically mean the subject is non-notable. Even if there was a notability issue, the good article criteria does not focus on notability or length, but whether the article has a fair amount of information cited from reliable sources to be included. And remember, a short article =/= a stub article, and if we were going to redirect the article into the artist page (if there is one), it would be too much information for a bio article to handle. An GA album article review should ONLY judge the album article, not if there's a bio of the album's artist, that would be ridiculous. Therefore, I think this article is allowed to be a GA. Review[edit]

Infobox[edit]

  • Is there a specific genre to the EP that you can add here? You mentioned "Chinese Nü Yr was noted by a writer to have a more footwork-influenced style that Iglooghost's past releases,[1] also containing elements of bass,[1] grime[2] and 2-step garage" –––> Footwork sounds the more prominent in my opinion, but that's up to you.
  • As mentioned above; Knowing that Iglooghost has had "past releases", you should add a chronology box here.
  • The rest is really good!

Lead section[edit]

  • "Response towards the EP from critics upon release was positive in general, mainly praised for its unique style." –––> Upon its release, the EP received positive reviews from music critics, mainly praised for its unique style/sound." Just sounds a bit more fluid.
  • The rest is superb!

Composition[edit]

  • "Chinese Nü Yr was noted by a writer to have a more footwork-influenced style..." –––> What writer? State the publication and critic who noted this.
  • "Chinese Nü Yr was noted by a writer to have a more footwork-influenced style that Iglooghost's past releases..." –––> Did you mean than Iglooghost's past/previous releases?
  • When you say "Chinese Nü Yr was noted by a writer to have a more footwork-influenced style that Iglooghost's past releases,[1] also containing elements of bass,[1] grime[2] and 2-step garage.[2] ", I don't know exactly what release (previous or this EP) your referring to with the elements of bass, grime and 2-step garage to. Could you re-write this sentence please.
  • "and mountains growing out of the ground;" I'd put a full stop there, and start the new sentence with "the worm fears...".
  • The rest is good!

Tracks[edit]

  • This may sound dumb, but I have no idea what a "Noumenal Loom" or who "Noumenal Loom" is; can you briefly stated who/what it is?
  • "end" –––> "ends"
  • ""Gold Coat" is the less frantic of all of the EP's four tracks" –––> Is the description of labelling it "less frantic" (or anything similar) within the citation at the end of the sentence (the reference to Resident Advisor)? This sounds like a fan's point of view; either keep it if its in the referenced article, or remove it.
    • I paraphrased Resident Advisor's description of the track that said "steps back from the high-octane thrills", therefore its the least frantic editorEهեইдအ😎 23:07, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • "The most heavy-sounding cut on the EP" –––> Like I mentioned before, is calling it "the most heavy-sounding cut" (or anything similar) stated in the Resident Advisor reference you provided at the end of the sentence? It sound's like a fan's point of view (not insulting your choice of words).
    • I paraphrased the review's description of the track "where things really get dense", "dense" meaning "heavy" editorEهեইдအ😎 23:02, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • The rest, and references, are good!

Release[edit]

  • Title this Release and reception, knowing that it has reviews.
  • Everything else is good!

Track listing[edit]

  • Add a reference to verify the track list and writing/production credits by Seamus Mal.
    • No liner notes source for the album, so I removed it. It should be obvious who produced and wrote the album given he did it all by myself. editorEهեইдအ😎 23:04, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Other additional notes[edit]

  • Has he got an online website (or information/seperate page on his website) that you add on the page (just put it in an external links heading if possible)?
  • Any promotion/public performances? If not (or nothing with reliable sources), just leave it blank.
